Hollywood actor Rupert Everett has taken to serving drinks at his village pub in an effort to keep it running.

Rupert Everett, whose credits include Another Country and My Best Friend’s Wedding, is among those volunteering to rescue The Swan, a threatened pub in Enford, WiltshireThe Swan is now run by a rotating team of 30 volunteers after its closure when the former licensee departed.

The community effort to keep this pub alive has been remarkable,” said Everett, the 66-year-old actor known as the voice of Prince Charming in Shrek.
